Intro

Hello. My name is not important. My location is not important. All that is important is that I have a job as a tour guide. I guide in an underground cave somewhere on the East Coast. As of this writing, I have worked there for 10 months, 19 days, 7 hours, and 1 minute.

This may be the only job in the world that can have you feeling on top of the world for meeting an amazing person one hour, then have you shoveling up baby shit the next. The pay is terrible, below minimum wage, and having customers tip you is beyond a miracle.

Despite this, I like the job. The good outweighs the bad, most of the time. I truly like meeting new people, most of the time. And I like my coworkers, almost all the time.

So, I created this blog in an attempt to catalog the most interesting people I take down and have to entertain for an hour. I hope to buy a camera, take peoples' pictures, and compare them to fictional characters I know. Occasionally, I might post a picture of an awesome tourist with a short story explaining why they're so awesome.

Anyway, let's see where this thing leads. This... is the Cave of Leaves.
